Declaration
Definition: A document in which an applicant for patent declares, under penalty of fine or imprisonment, or both (18 USC 1001), that he or she is the original or sole inventor. Restriction Definition: If two or more independent and distinct inventions are claimed in a single application, the examiner may require the applicant to elect (designate) a single invention to which the claims will be restricted. |
